To perform a search, first select the starting node such as Features from the Schema tab. In the Search tab, set search criteria and select the Search button. Text search can be customized using the options below to specify the areas in the project to search.

The search always starts from the node selected in the Schema tab. In the image below, the Feature node is highlighted in Schema tab:
